Eternal Investments

Start-ups! Initiatives that have revolutionized business worldwide! But for a start-up to take wings, you need someone who will trust the venture and be willing to invest in the company.

Traditional models of business have given way to new and innovative approaches. With rise in internet connectivity, young entrepreneurs have made it big with their start-ups. To finance their dreams, they approach investors who would take the risk and agree to fund these ideas.

Interestingly, despite many brilliant ideas, most startups end up losing money and closing down.

Many invest despite the risks involved.

Come to think of it, God is the biggest investor! He created the universe and everything in it. He made man in His own image and breathed in him the breath of life. He entrusted man with the right to have dominion over all creation. But man chose to rebel and defy his creator. The Bible calls that Sin.

The chaos we see in the world around us is a result of this Sin in the human heart.

But God never gave up on us! Despite the losses, God made an investment in man once again, through Jesus Christ. A beautiful passage in the Bible talks about this; “For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly...God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us...while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son.*”

God loves us despite the mess we’ve made of our lives.

He simply asks to put our trust in Jesus and live a life that is pleasing to him.

Do we realise that our life is a gift from God; and if so what do we give him in return?

God invites us to be his hands and feet to heal and restore a world in need. That would be a great return on investment.
